While there are no reported cases of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) connected to our school, Culdesac School District wants parents to know that our staff has been putting plans in place to continue to educate our students in the event of a long term closure such as we are seeing around the nation.
School will be in session on Monday and Tuesday of this week, and will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday (March 18 & March 19). Teachers and Staff will use this time to make plans and preparations for the event that a closure could last past our regularly planned Spring Break (March 23-27).
Parent Teacher Conferences will still be held on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. Parents will have the opportunity to speak to their child’s teachers at this time to come up with the best plan to continue their child’s education from home should we experience a closure.
In the event of a school closure, communication with parents and students will be through our already established communication avenues including: email, automated phone calls and website updates. There are a lot of rumors out there regarding school closures. Please ensure that the information you are receiving is what has been shared by our staff via the before mentioned avenues.
In the meantime, please know that our staff is actively cleaning and sanitizing high touch places in the buildings such as handrails, doorknobs, faucets, etc.
We appreciate everyone’s continued patience in this rapidly evolving situation.
